10 Benefits of Online Scheduling for Practitioners
September 2, 2026
Ten benefits of online scheduling for practitioners and how each works in Tipulim - from booking with no password to reminders, prepayment and calendar sync.
Online scheduling saves phone calls, lets patients book at any hour and reduces mistakes in the diary. In Tipulim, reminders, payment and tracking join in, all in one place. Here are ten benefits, each with the way it works in practice.
1. Less time on the phone
The patient chooses a treatment, a location and a free time on their own. You can put the link in WhatsApp, in your Instagram bio and in your email signature, and every appointment that is booked is already in the diary.
2. Booking at any hour
A patient can book in the evening or at the weekend, within the working hours you set, without waiting for you to be available.
3. No password
The patient fills in a name, a mobile phone and an email, receives a six-digit code on WhatsApp or by SMS and types it in. There is no need to create an account.
4. Reminders and attendance confirmation
Each appointment gets one reminder, about a day before, and the default is WhatsApp and email. From the reminder the patient can confirm attendance. Reminders are a common way to reduce missed appointments, and you can read more in the notifications guide.
5. Orderly cancellations and a waiting list
If you allowed online cancellation, a patient cancels from the link in the reminder and you get an email. A patient who did not find a time can join a waiting list and get a message when a slot opens on the same day.
6. Control of the diary
You set working hours, block dates for a holiday or a conference, define several locations and, if you wish, approve appointments manually before they are final.
7. Payment as part of the process
After you connect a payment provider, patients pay online, and every completed appointment that was not paid appears in the pending payments list. Seven providers are supported, and you can read about it in the payment providers guide. Connecting a provider is not required in order to start.
8. Cards and packages
On the Professional and Premium plans you can sell treatment packages, and the system deducts a treatment automatically when a patient books. Details in the treatment cards guide.
9. Sync with Google Calendar
On the Professional and Premium plans every appointment that is booked, moved or cancelled is updated in your Google calendar. Only the treatment type and a first name (or no name, as you choose) are kept in the calendar, with no medical details. See the sync guide.
10. Easy move from another system
You can import patients from a CSV file with a name, a phone and an email, and also future appointments from a file. An appointment that conflicts in the diary is skipped, and new patients are added automatically.
How to start
For patients to be able to book you need a business profile, a location, at least one treatment type and working hours. After that, the "Share booking link" screen gives you the link, a printable QR code and ready-made texts for WhatsApp and for existing patients. The message to existing patients is usually the one that brings the first self-booking. The full steps are in the getting started guide.
